Asthma caused by exercise
April 20, 2010
People with asthma who haven’t trained their body and lungs for physical activities can feel shortness of breath very quickly when partaking in sports. It is therefore important that one gets to know his/her body before doing any physically intensive exercises. The excerpt below is from the site Types of Asthma and has some good basic information about getting ready for sports as someone who suffers from asthma.
Asthma attacks are often linked to sports, and exercise in general. The term exercise induced asthma (EIA) is often used when referring to asthma attacks that are caused by exercise or physical intensive activities. This type of asthma is quite common and figures show that millions have some form of it. It makes exercise a near-impossible activity. However there are ways to get your breathing under control and be able to participate in sports.

Welcome to Asthma Details
April 20, 2010
This blog will basically contain posts with details on the condition we call asthma. I will try to find the latest news on the condition and share some of my stories with you. I am always looking for the latest on health, and will post whatever I find interesting. There is currently a lot of research going on that is related to asthma, we are discovering new things every month it seems. It will take some time to fill this blog with enough posts so please bear with me while I search the web, and post my thoughts on this universal subject. I call it universal because asthma doesn’t care whether you are rich or poor, weak or strong – it affects millions all over the world.
I hope to see you soon.
Bert.
